Celebration day! It's Estonian 96th Independence Day and my blog's #100 post, yay! What an elderly blog!
I definitely wanted to share something Estonian today, since I have done it so regrettably few here. Lenna's album "Teine" ("Second") got an award "the album of the year" in Estonian Music Awards 2014. Many musicians already commended this album already before it received the prize, yet I still didn't pay so much attention to it.
"Vabaduselauluke" ("Song of freedom") is a folk-country-style tune (not very typical for Lenna), that has an enthralling melody. One Estonian journalist just tweeted today about the music that usually plays among our media on our Independence Day: Somehow it's believed that an average estonian would like to listen to depressing music all day long at the birthday of his homeland. (No! :<) Cheer up!
