#317 The Boxer Rebellion - Diamonds

-Why?
During the dinner time tonight, I couldn't focus on the music coming from radio at all. Only one song attracted my attention, but when I was able to catch my phone and open FluxFm's playlist online, the song was already finished. So I checked time (20.05) to search for the song later from their website. Now, the music of The Boxer Rebellion is filling the stillness in my flat. Good for studying.

#316 LaBrassBanda - Bauersbua - Kiah Royal

-Why?
I've mentioned before, that lyrics matter for me, since I can't stand on bullshit on nice tune. This song must be an exception, since I half understand, that the language is close to German (that I personally have learned and can speak), but on the other hand I can't distinguish one word from another. Halp :-/
Trumpets and drums save the song.

#315 Rigmor Gustafsson - Still

-Why?
A friend of mine, who visited me in Berlin for 3 days, found a jazz event she asked me to come along with. I didn't mind. Rigmor Gustafsson (vocals) with Elisa Einarsdotter (piano) and Olle stone Holtz (bass) performed some solid jazz for full hall. Beautiful songs, that didn't bore me (like jazz might sometimes do in my case, unfortunately). Audience was high :)

#314 Jamie Cullum - You're Not The Only One

-Why?
Since I can't stand on the electronic music sets on my favorite radio station program on Saturday evenings, I was more or less forced to change to station. Jamie Cullum sang from the next chosen channel. Beautiful song and he re-wins my heart every time again just because of his voice, which is so recognizable.

#313 GusGus - Obnoxiously Sexual

-Why?
I went to listen to jazz with a visitor from Estonia tonight. After the concert we stopped by the exposition-table, where all kind of Northern-European countries music was represented - from the Icelandic section, a friend of mine found a familiar CD for her (but not for me) - GusGus's album Mexico. She played it to me later at home and I kind of liked this song :)
The more I listen, the more it feels like a music, that could be successfully played in clubs around Berlin.

#311 The Postal Service - Againt All Odds (Take A Look At Me Now)

-Why?
I was scrolling around Spotify during a break at school today. Seeing the title of the song and the artist, I didn't even have to press play button to know I like the tune no matter what. Phil Collins + The Postal Service = heaven. I'm not a remix-type at all, but this one is well settled (and by saying this, I hope I don't have "pink glasses" on, just because of the artist or song itself).

I heard that song yesterday morning from radio while doing my daily chores in kitchen. Kid-alike voice feels like really speaking to you only.

#307 Jupiter Jones - Plötzlich hält die Welt an

-Why?
A song from Bundesvision 2014 contest, representing Rheinland-Pfalz. Nice live performance with choir on background, I appreciate it even more, since not all the contestants performed live (which I can't understand, considering the concept). My previous german popsong earworm changed to this now.

#306 Rixton - Me and My Broken Heart (Andie Case cover!)

-Why?
Here is a video, that was circulating around in social media. Since I saw, that my mum had clicked "like" on it (which she does rarely by such videos), I had to see what is this. They kept it short and simple = the result is enjoyable!

#299 Ingrid Lukas - Unexpected

-Why?
There will be a book, named "Ordinary Estonian" given out soon. I saw the project of it on a crowdfunding website and this song was set as a background music for their presentation video. To be honest, this truly nice voice took my attention from the video image. A bit Regina Spektor-ish :)

#298 Bear's Den - Above The Clouds Of Pompeii

-Why?
That "silent before the storm" moment in the afternoon home alone. Even though the lyrics are rather superficial, the burble of the background instrumental compensates it for me.

#297 Balbina - Montag

-Why?
Almighty Google search showed me couple of sorted out lists of music to learn German. I am still quite at the beginning of listening to this list, but "Montag" already appeared out of others. Since I am one of the bloggers in my language school at the moment and it's a must to write regularly, I got a supa-dupa (obvious) idea for next topic.

#292 James Ferraro - Global Lunch

-Why?
An interesting find from Berlin Music Week Sound! conference. Adam Harper was talking about hi-tech in indie music. To be honest, I didn't catch the skype sounds when he played the samples of music there; but now,  sprawling on my comfi couch at home I can distinguish them all. When a skype's homeland is also my homeland, it's ridiculously homely :-)
